Physiotherapy Cancer Care
- A unique physiotherapy service for people living with cancer

Physiotherapy Cancer Care will comply with the following:

Professional responsibility and obligations will be maintained by the Chartered Physiotherapist and as a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) be bound by the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Regular peer and professional support will be maintained through the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Oncology and Palliative Care (ACPOPC); the Multidisciplinary Association of Supportive care in Cancer (MASCC), Lewis-Manning Hospice, Christchurch Macmillan Unit and Bournemouth University.

The Chartered Physiotherapist will carry out: 

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and life long learning (LLL). Core standards of physiotherapy practice: Standards 19 -22

CSP Quality Assurance Standards (2012)

HCPC Standards of Proficiency: Physiotherapists (2007)

HCPC Standard of Conduct Performance and Ethics (2008)

European Core Standards of Physiotherapy Practice (2008)

Maintenance of state registration through the HCPC (1993 to date)

Advice and information will be sought about rules, or any professional matter from the Member Networks and Relations Function at the CSP and / or HCPC, as well as Physio First if and when required
